Notebooks from the Bench

I have been working at or around a luthier's bench for most of my life.  These postings will be a virtual copy of my bench notebooks, currently numbering in the hundreds of pages.  I will attempt to post each week as I get my notes typed.  I will be covering many topics from simple instrument repair to extensive reconstruction techniques on mandolins, violins, guitars, etc.  Feel free to post or email questions.  I will be happy to answer them or put you in touch with someone who can.
